The #BigOil market just isn't making sense these days. Gas prices per gallon are down and there's word that our reserves are about to bust at the seams, but it's usually the case that OPEC cuts back production. Iran's situation should be making the price per barrel go up, even without OPEC. That's not happening. Oil futures are feeble, and that's the news that just crossed my newsfeed. And then I see Kiev Independent reporting on yet another Ruzzian refinery or oil facility go bavovna.
And then I see reports that the Shadow Fleet wants to re-flag to get past the U.S. which means that they're currently not getting through to their destinations, a situation that should also raise oil prices. It hasn't. Something is very screwy somewhere.
