Looks like I'll resume shopping around for a different go-to #Friendica instance because though My Portal doesn't connect frequently enough for #HashtagGames, Rogue's Project isn't federating well with #Diaspora anymore, and federating with Diaspora is the primary reason I stick with Friendica. Going to have to move on from here, folks. Edited to add that today I got just one poster from Glasswings over here but I follow many more others of other instances that simply aren't showing up. Not seeing ereandil from Glasswings either.
Unfortunately there is no way to force propagation across the Fediverse. The more people on an Instance that interact the better the propagation. There is nothing I can modify or change about this Instance that will cause it to propagate any differently. The issue is much bigger than one Instance. Rogue Project's Friendica is a very small instance with only a handful of active users. This effects propagation. The issue with larger Instances that I have been on is that they have more down time than up time.

Lately I’ve been using AI locally instead of cloud stuff. No internet needed, no accounts, nothing leaving my machine. Cloud AI is cool, but you share more than you realize. Local just feels safer for me. Using models like dolphin-mistral:7b, llama3.1:8b, mistral:7b.
Yes, I only use local AI. llamma.cpp (not related to the Meta llama) and I have used Ollama in the past (which is just a user friendly wrapper for llama.cpp ) though have mostly migrated to llamma.cpp. I also use ComfyUI, I love playing with stable diffusion. I also actually make content I need with it as well 😉.

I have no issue with AI, the technology, I have been working on it since 1986. The development of LLMs, artificial neural networks has certainly been a game changer. Though I am not any part of the obsession to make huge server farms that power AI Instances to provide services for mobile devices, or any device you want to hook to them. I use only local AI that I work on, or those that collaborate with me work on.
One very disturbing issue for me is that people cannot make a distinction between AI, the technology, and services provided by corporations. There is a huge difference. For instance I do not train my AI on copyrighted material stolen on the internet. I train them on open source, public domain resources and my own content.
I use ComfyUI (generative AI) to make assets, and just to have fun. I use only checkpoints and loras trained on public domain content, and yes, you can check this. I have used LLMs that I have trained to turn

There are many practical implementations of AI that does and will enhance all of our lives. That does not mean I support corporate server farms trying to inject AI into all aspects of our life, need or want it or not. On the other hand I do not feel that it is fair for people to be judging AI for what corporations do. Should I judge fire for what arsonist do? Should I judge antibiotics by their current abuse in agriculture?
It is an old technology that we have been working on for decades. With great success in recent decades. It is not SLOP it is valuable technology when used appropriately. AI should not be held accountable for the way corporation misuse it for monetization. Corporations should be held accountable for their actions. Not the millions of developers that have diligently worked to hone a technology that is quite valuable.

Honestly, IRC is the most fun I’ve had online. Simple, fast, and no-nonsense. I’ve been using it for about 4-5
months now, mainly connecting to Libera.Chat.
I personally prefer using WeeChat because I enjoy the terminal-based workflow, but there are plenty of other great clients like Irssi or HexChat depending on your style. It’s a great way to find focused communities.
I love the IRC, I have been using it since the late 1990's. Back then web based group chats were incredibly slow and useless. So Usenet and IRC were the place to be.
