I don't think I knew at the time who Maggie Smith actually was, but it's a joy to see Burgess Meredith and Lawrence Olivier in their glory days again. So yeah--watching it anyway. ❤

There's more symbolism in what Medusa was turned into than has been covered by latter day lore, and a hint at that can be found in the New Testament where Jesus tells his Twelve to be shrewd as snakes. Even in the Chinese calendar, the Year of the Snake evokes shrewdness, cleverness.
