Silly question to no tech-nerds in particular:
Is there a known/proposed way to fix TOR such that users can't be de-anonymized by anyone controlling a bunch of nodes and a lot of computing power?
The issue's been around for a while, and it seems weird I've never even heard a solution proposed...

How do I hate thee, Microsoft?
How do I hate thee? Let me count the ways.
I hate thee to the depth of every crash
When updates force a restart’s endless thrash
And Windows stalls, blue screens my free-time raze.
I hate thee for thy licenses’ steep price.
Thy hated cloud locks data out of reach.
Thy Edge that shoves itself through every breach
And laggy Teams, a blight on each device.
I hate thee for thy bloat, thy forced AIs
Thy products killed to force useless upgrades
Thy OneDrive sync that falters, loses files.
With every bug, my fury grows apace
Thy practices that spark such user cries,
I hate thee for thy squand’ring of my days.

How, exactly, did MS come to the conclusion that only letting users move files with a dangerous-sounding "Cut" option was better than leaving the 30-yr-tested "Move" option in context menus?
1st rule of software improvement: Don't fuck up the stuff that works because you want to add a new feature!

The Trump regime has ignored both the other branches of our government and our constitution. It's acting against all three, and states publicly it intends to continue.

For nearly a decade, I told people that cars that spy on you, require internet access/tracking data, may be updated (or bricked) at any moment, and have door handles that won't let anyone save you if you're unconscious are a bad bet, and the left told me to shut up...

Well, I guess having someone with rank-and-file military experience as SecDef at least means he knows how to manage "OPSec", right?
Right???

It should also be possible to block individual apps from accessing the network when the user decides that app doesn't need network access.
When apps and users come into conflict, the users' smartphone OS should take the users' side.

one thing i am trying to figure out though is i think if you give an app notifications it changes how it behaves in sleep, which is the real reason some of these apps want notifications.
