they don’t make the front plate easy to install. Many don’t want to ruin the front bumper. The dealer did it for me but it’s also illegal in cali to drive without a front plate. But yeah i see that out west too

I just read in your bio about the chronic pain which has you mostly using your phone for photography. I too have chronic pain from herniated disks. So after a few years now I’m taking a chance getting a new mirrorless camera. I got an adapter to use my nice lenses. The extra 1/2 pound less in the camera body will help make a difference. I can no longer spend hours walking about so my hopes are high I can get a half hour at a time.

When our Camilla thinks it should be supper time, she starts flirting around and dancing, curling her tail and her paws and booping everyone. It is so cute, but my God, it's 3pm, sweetie. Supper is hours away. I think if she and Pica were in an ad for supper time, the world would be powerless to stop them.

It felt good to stand with like minded people to protest this afternoon. I've been flipped off more this past year than the whole rest of my life. Kind of a badge of honor, I think.
A change of scenery with less people, and noise was sounding pretty good by the time we were done.
Summer still needed a good run, so after I got home and changed into my beach going clothes we took off for the bay.
Just me and Summer.
The weather is beautiful, and we found a quiet spot by the water. Without four wheel drive it was a bit of a hike, but that's just what we needed.
Lots of wildlife around including a coyote who took me by surprise. We must not have been that interesting, so after giving us the once over, it was gone again, disappearing like it was never there.
Summer unfazed proceded to have some serious fun.
Not just a little, but a lot.

It was her first. She was wary but didn't bark. We weren't super close but close enough for me. Definitely full size with an impressive tail.
One iffy encounter at the protest when another woman, standing next to us, who looked to be my age, got into an argument with a Trumper in a pickup. He took off his seat belt and started to get out to teach us a lesson. He changed his mind as other vehicles started honking at him.
Tomorrow I will call to see how I can help the campaign for prop. 50.

Unsolicited advice: Stay ahead of things in the coming years as Summer ages. Future coyotes might not be so intimidated by an older version of her. If you can acquaint Summer with the refreshment of an occasional leashed adventure, you might prepare her for safer future encounters and she won't treat it as a downgrade 🐕

I was surprised to see the coyote where we were. I shouldn't have been though because there are lots of deer. I will keep that in mind though. Even though she is off leash I keep her pretty close.

Now you've got me thinking about keeping her safe at home. This year we watched a pair of coyotes raise a pup literally out our kitchen window. They would frequent the pastures north if us. When we had geese they would snag one occasionally. I hadn't worried about Summer but maybe I should.

It is likely to face a fierce backlash in the parliament and from accountability advocates. The attorney general, Michelle Rowland, tomorrow will introduce legislation the government says will “improve Australia’s broken FoI system”, claiming the changes would prioritise “genuine” requests and prevent taxpayer money being used on “frivolous and automated requests”. Currently anyone can make a request for government information, from the prime minister’s diary and emails with foreign leaders down to personal information held about oneself. Making a request is free, but departments can level charges for the time to process a request – from searching for documents and redacting them to ensure they don’t contain sensitive information. Rowland said the government would ban anonymous requests, “strengthen” application requirements to “deter vexatious and frivolous requests” and add a “new fee-structure”. But for journalists, politicians and other experts seeking access to government information, a fee will apply. The government has not said exactly how much, but it is likely to reflect modest charges at the state level – around $50 per request.
