Indeed. It's sparse up there. Firefighting even 2 miles up the hill that way from the GJ river bottom involves heavy city/county fire tanker trucks hauling water grinding up a steep hill at 10mph. Can take a while.
Ambulance service, with lighter vehicles, has gotten into the 5-10 minute range for the lower 2-4 mile segment.
GJ EMS and St Marys flight for life heliport are now doing more Glade Park runs when local response all the way up there isn't available.
