I haven't at this stage instigated any sort of block yet. The server here still federates with `bsky.brid.gy`, and for now I'm managing them according to my "large instance" policy, much like how I'm dealing with `threads.net`.
It's worth noting that at present, there are about 14 users following accounts here from BlueSky. (Threads is even smaller; dashboard is reporting just one user.) So far, none of them troublemakers, and hopefully it stays that way.

i'd say the crowd was similar to or a bit bigger than No Kings 1, making it as large as any other or larger than any other I've seen at LFP; I didn't attempt to do any count because I'm so bad at it, but

i mean seriously I tooted about it at the time but there was a moment when I just went _holy fuck this is so. fucking. loud_. I have been in some loud protests before but that was an _impact_.
it was almost a wave. not like the wave at the kingdome implosion, obviously, but the same kind of "woah" moment.
then it really started coming down in buckets and the crowd started to thin a bit - it was close to ending time anyway, so I think people were willing to leave a little early at that point, and they did.
I was at the DC rally yesterday. I tried to work my way through the crowd towards the stage. I couldn't get within sight of the speakers I could only see the edge of the stage. As far as I could see in every direction it was solid packed with people. This was the biggest demonstration I've been in since the pre-Iraq War II global demonstrations in 2002.
Weirdly the demonstration in DC was on a street just off of the mall. I don't know why the mall was not used but I have my suspicions.
@Dave_Goldsmith I was at those; they were huge here, by far the biggest I’d ever seen. But these are way bigger, more pervasive, more interactive with passers-by. And the energy is more raw - raggier, too, kinda, if that makes any sense. Maybe because it’s all focused domestically? I don’t know.
