Why do the worst people always look like just an average Joe? This murderous prick could be the Dad of one of my kids' friends, and I'd never have given him a second thought. Monsters need to come with signs...

@Blaise

I do not believe it should even be an option to not make public the actions of any officer. Except during investigation, after that it should all be fully accessible for review by any citizen.

@plan-A

Back in the university my professor asked me to see them in their office after class. My professor was looking that the three 4KB files of C code and headers and asked "why all the extraneous code?" I said "well I was concerned they might try this... or do that..." and he replied "I know what you were trying to do. You were trying to idiot proof your software. Do not waste your time. You could write a million lines of code and the idiots will still find a way to break something, typically by doing something completely unreasonable with the software. The trouble with try to idiot proof your code is that idiots are just to damned clever." The next assignment I just fulfilled the requirements and did not try to idiot proof my code πŸ˜‰.

Listen, America, after reading the Donald's latest remarks about how he plans to cancel elections and rewrite the Constitution, I've come to a realization. In 10 years, this disrespectful jackass will be dead, one way or another. The only real question left is whether the men standing over his grave are giving it a NAZI salute, or pissing on it. If you dumbfucks decide to wake up and make the right choice, give me a call. I'll drink a couple of 2-liters of Mountain Dew on the ride over....

I note with interest that folks have moved from houseplants to around-the-house-plants, and since I'm not all that familiar with inside plants, I'm about to move outdoors too.

sauropods.win/@TheDinosaurDave… TheDinosaurDave@sauropods.win - This weeks #Lego #FossilFriday is #Megalonyx

The first fossils of a large animal were found in a cave in 1796 by Colonel John Stuart. He sent them to Thomas Jefferson as he was getting ready to become president.

Jefferson examined the femur fragment, ulna, radius and foot bones, including three large claws and wrote a paper about them. He named the animal Megalonyx from the Greek "Mega" (giant) and "Onyx" (claw).

In 1799 Caspar Wistar identified them as the remains of a Giant Ground Sloth

mastodon.social/@SeanCasten/11… SeanCasten@mastodon.social - Congress must address Kristi Noem's failed leadership, up to and including impeachment. But that alone is insufficient.

The entire chain of command who have enabled a culture of murder must face justice.

I just ran across a dumbass posting about how he had run across some dumbass trying to convince him that there was no difference between Dems & GOP, basically calling all Palestinians dumbasses.

Dems support Netanyahu. GOP supports Netanyahu. The dumbass is the one that can't understand this.

#ProductReview #Logitech #YetiOrbMic

Went to Walmart Supercenter nearby in search of a decent-quality USB mic and liked how the package made the Yeti Orb seemed, cardioid patterning and all and it was for gamers (and I know how picky gamers can be about audio quality).

But I'm returning it tomorrow because it failed on gain, and that's after I downloaded the Logitech G-HUB software, too. Used that to set it on high gain, set the gain setting on Audacity way the hell up there and still feeble signal. NO mic should have to go through all that crap just to get a peep out of it. Friends won't let friends buy that brick.
