There are an awful lot of gimmies out there by way of songs, though.

Long Green --Fireballs
Money --Pink Floyd
Money --The Beatles
If you've got the money, honey, I've got the time --Willie Nelson among others
Depression era songs: Afloat on a Five Dollar Note
Buddy Can You Spare A Dime
We're In The Money
That's just the tip of a rather large proverbial iceberg.

If you are stuck on the Left Banke you can "Ferry Cross the Mersey" with Jerry and the Pacemakers.

I thought that #HBO was done re-running #Flow but I was proven wrong today. And yes, I watched it yet again. That's because each of the times I've watched it before, I've noticed things I didn't catch in the previous viewings, and such was the case today.

At the very opening, if you pay attention to the background environment, immediately after the title goes by, you can spot a boat in a tree already, suggesting that the area had been flooded before and, further, human beings likely left the area because of having been warned before. This gave a new interpretation of all the moss-covered cat statues, too. They've been wet before, obviously, but maybe for a different reason than usually presumed.

This sort of attention to environment detail and not so much to the main characters goes a long way to explain why this roughly hour of movie took 5 years to make

For those of you who might still not spot the treed boat in the opening sequence of #Flow , I've got it pointed out for you here:

Yeah, I think it's worthwhile to recirculate old #Trump memes. They still apply today.

An unusual number of temblors over 2 on the Richter Scale today and I wasn't even counting the ones in the Philippines or Indonesia, a regular occurrence there. Aftershocks in Turkiye have mostly been under 2 but there have been a lot of 'em, and they're still getting hit with temblors over 2. That wasn't a small one in Japan today, tho. Argentina has been pretty active all day. #earthquakes

The Texas quake was in an area where one would not expect an earthquake. And it was centered very deep-down; they are saying it centered four miles below the surface. I wonder what is going-on there.

Either fracking or a disposal well. We've got those and the quakes that go with 'em in Oklahoma.

I was doing some reading up on Golden Key, and it sure did fall into a bad way, eventually.

Tor does not use DNS so adjusting it will not change anything. You use a web based proxy at the end of the chain which will obfuscate your IP of your Tor exit. This is the only way to get past sites that block Tor. As I said bridges have nothing to do with it, as that is your entry point and is an entirely different topic and an entirely different reason to use them.

Right now I am busy reading a book but later I will get you some links to online proxy sites. Do not use a proxy browser or something that you would have to download. You need a proxy site that you can access while browsing. I will get you urls later. A site that lets you plug in the url you want to go to and then connects you to it. You should have to do nothing at all to your configuration to get it to work and they do not even require JS to work.

β™² @karlauerbach@diaspora.glasswings.com:
Anyone remember Tienanmen Square and Tank Man (who stood in front of a tank to block it)?
Well, here's an opportunity here in the US to celebrate Tank Man.

FFOTUS is going to have an imperial triumph parade - tanks and army brigades, airplanes, and gawd knows what else.

Would it not be interesting if the crowds burst through the barriers to re-enact Tank Man?

(This time we can fully anticipate that FFOTUS will order the troops to shoot - it will be a sad day when Chinese troops have been shown to have more respect for citizens than US troops.)

(And I've heard it suggested that in Lafayette Park - across from where the presidential viewing stand will be - that the crowd do a mass Brave Heart presentation of butts to our fearless leader's face.)

Here's a treat for all you folks who could remember as far back as "Hennesy".
The main character of "The Adventures of Tugboat Annie" evoked a lot of "well I never!" reactions being a nonstereotypical woman. Yes, it was spun off a film. Well, Never Have You Ever realized that there was a Captain Bullwinkle before there was moose and squirrel, huh.

Previously, I tooted a tribute to #Canada but neglected to add THIS reason for thanking Canada for being Canada. It just didn't come to my mind until just right now that I enjoyed watching this, as well as admiring the character besides. "The Adventures of Tugboat Annie" as a Canadian production showing on U.S. TV sure explains a lot of background on Bullwinkle the Moose and Frostbite Falls. Again, I salute you, and add Red Green while I'm at it. Quando omni flunkus moritati.

Freedom of Choice v Freedom from Choice

Freedom of Choice versus Freedom from Choice

I am not a antivaxer. Though I do believe that choice is important. It is often found that freedom requires a level of risk. If we trade our freedom for security then we will eventually find that we have neither.

This is from a private run school so it might be okay. I had to move away from Texas because they wanted to teach my children mythology in lieu of science. I would have to check the training of the LLM to be sure it was adequate. I have a big issue with having religion shoved down children's throats. A person's religious choices should be a choice they make not one enforced on them.

Oklahoma is in the same boat, but it's got an active Satanist church to keep the fear of the lord in those who want to evangelize. I expect they'll be mentioned in the arguments before the Supreme Court about that Catholic charter school getting public money. Texas would benefit from a similar org, IMHO.
