Okay, just read an individual's explanation of how DNS works. I do not know if they adlibbed the entire comment or if they are just a victim of poor information. Suffice it to say that I have read more reliable information posted by @Low Quality Facts. I am not sure why people feel it is necessary to make comments on a topic they obviously do not understand. I have no idea how to deal with your issues on this instance regarding posting locally; turns out that there are no posting options except locally. When I click on the global icon (the circular thingie), the posting editor goes away, and I was told that's just how all Friendica instances work; to change that, one would have to change the coding. The editor shows up when you click on the left-most grid-type icon.
The teensy #butterfly that is the Dainty Sulfur breeds on a host plant that makes humans cringe and cuss: Spanish Needles. In defense of growing Spanish Needles in my yard, it's a great security plant to grow if you have a problem with prowlers. You've heard of paint tagging an offender, I'm sure--but the seeds of the Spanish Needles hold fast to clothing and are a bitch to remove, so it performs very much like tagging a perp. My work cycle varies. I work 12 hour shifts so on work days I do not do much more than Work, Sleep and do it again. This Week is a Long Week meaning that there are four days in the work cycle instead of 3. Though the way the Week is broken up I work from this Wednesday to next Sunday. Though Sunday is actually counted as one of the days on next weeks work cycle. So I work 5 consecutive days. Have 3 off, then work 2 days and have 4 off. That is what my work cycle breaks down to. During a Work cycle I do not have a lot of time to do much besides work and rest as already stated.
I will keep an eye on the server and make sure it stays up. I cannot do much more than that. Last night there was down time due to the MariaDB shutting down. This is likely yet more configuration Tuning.
If you setup up a LAMP or LEMP and install Friendica, turn on debugging the error logs go nuts. There are many known issues with the code base though 99.8% of them are non terminal. So they get worked around for now

My instance is Pristine that does not make it special it means that I have not modified any of the code base at all. I have only modified the settings. It is not actually a Vanilla installation as I do use Addons. So if Friendica works on other Instances then it will work here as well. Though it is my understanding that most Friendica Admins deal with the types of issues I am overcoming.

Few people understand modern farming. The consolidation, the incredible inherited wealth, how most farmers borrow to the hilt against their property for new equipment, new pickup trucks, new toys. How many farmers have huge contracts to supply corporate producers, and then the subsidies and set asides. That clown whimpering about the green initiatives and limits on applications "reducing yields" is never going to tell you the rest of the story.

Fucking moron. Most farmers have millions in inherited land. They borrow against it for millions in operating capital and to fund millions in capital equipment and toys that they either write off as biz expenses and or depreciate against income earnings. Yes, they pay back those loans using the operating capital that they borrow, and also derive large incomes from the crops they produce Those aren't the only liquidity tricks they use you absolute oxygen thief.
