Hells bells, but we've been enjoying those for the past 3 weeks and they're still coming in! If you put them in the fridge and wait 2 or so days, they get even sweeter! Fridge is required because they'd get moldy otherwise.

Extremely late night notice for Central Time US, but I just viewed a latter day "Dragnet" episode on the TV where Harry Morgan's character, Bill Gannon, provided a bit of comic relief--he presented a sandwich with a lot of ingredients in it, whereupon Friday commented that it sounded like a 7 course meal. Then I used #Google to list those ingredients to check against a list I scribbled on a scrap of paper.
And Google's #AI fucked up even that simple task. It inserted the word "mayo" when the script called for "horseradish". Gemini hasn't learned that horseradish sauce, although it contains mayo, is NOT mayo.
It's still an awesome Gannon-style Dagwood, though:
corned beef, imported Swiss cheese, lettuce, russian dressing, slaw, kosher pickle, tomato, HORSERADISH, and peanut butter. I'm sure Arby's Horsey Sauce is a good substitute, but do NOT use mayo.

I do not use any server based AI at all. If the LLM does not run locally on my machine on ComfyUI, LLama.cpp or Ollama then I do not need it.
note: I do not use the term cloud as that is a marketing term not an IT term and I am a developer not a marketer.

There are many metrics used in propagation. Yes, if you are friends with your account on My Portal then it should have showed up here. Though 100% of your friends posts do not always show up when activity between the users is low. That is an intentional feature of Friendica. It will share more and more of a user that you interact with frequently and less of those that you have little communication with.
Though keep in mind if you want to guarantee that posts you make on My Portal get to your Rogue Project account you can go to your contacts on Rogue Project and identify the remote user as yourself (This is a feature I have turned on that other Friendica Instances may not have on). Then anything you post on My portal will mirror here. Now, how well that will propagate what gets to your My Portal account from Diaspora is up for grabs.
You could comment on your posts back and forth from either account to increase the propagation between the two users as well.
Are You Helping to Propagate BS?
Do Not Propagate BS
It always amazes me when I watch people vehemently oppose a post they disagree with. Even when they do not know the poster or anyone on the post. I do not think they truly understand what they are doing. They are making that post they disagree with more popular and ensuring (or at least contributing to the assurance) that it will have a wider propagation across the Fedi.
Priority of what gets most rapidly spread across the Fedi is governed by several metrics and it is not standardized between the different Instance types either. Though one critical metric will always speed a post across the Fedi and that is reactions. The more reactions a post has the quicker it will propagate. It does not matter if that is positive or negative reactions. It only matters that post got attention. Make no mistake, a comment is considered a reaction. Even if you do not click a Thumbs up or Thumbs down you are reacting by commenting.
So if you are tired of seeing posts you find ridiculous maybe you should start ignoring them instead of boosting them by reacting to them.

Culling of Inactive Members
Culling Inactive Members
I have began deleting accounts that have had no activity for 3 month. In some cases less if it appears the account was established for the purpose of spamming (marketing) the Instance. I have set a cap to the max users before registration closes. To be sure that the Instance stays viable within my budget. As I have stated before if the Instance appears to be able to handle more users than the current cap I will raise the ceiling.
I do not expect that a user has to post everyday or even weekly to be considered active. Though I have to draw the limit somewhere. I decided that a quarter of a year of inactivity was a pretty fair limit. If you are going to be offline for an extended period of time and not sure that you will be able to login then let me know and I will make sure to preserve your account.

Aha--1956 was the year this movie was released. Isaac Asimov published a book with those "3 laws" of robotics in 1950.

Ah, a moment of levity (literally) when a crew member got hauled off by the seat of his pants. I went to look for what actor that was because I recognized the face, but I can't find a list of the cast that uses photos taken from the movie and I'm afraid I just don't recognize him as an old man.

Van de Graaf globes on a monorail. Got it. But what exactly is "2,000 centuries" in Altair 4 time? How does that convert to Earth time?
So--the character I was looking for was "Cookie", and that's Earl Holliman. Well alrighty then!
Lemme guess--that energy monster was just something somebody dreamed up.

...and right after I typed that up, a dying man mentioned "monsters from the id" so we have Freud coming in to haunt the place. Okay, it's time to mention what life was like in the 1950s that was an era of humanity trying to get past Sigmund Freud or making arguments to stick with him--and you'll find wide manifestations of this in both TV and movies produced in the 1950s; Alfred Hitchcock and Rod Serling both made their fortunes based on Freudian theories and rebuttals.
"We're all monsters in our subconscious and that's why we have laws and religion!"
Those words should be immortalized.

Ah. Blown to Krell and back. The End.
...and then I found out that an infamous Governor of Alabama was playing a bit part in that movie. Well, I did know that he was listed as cast member when I went looking for Earl Holliman, but DAMN I sure didn't recognize him...but then again, my memory of him was of a fat bigoted bastard. You got to see him in the opening minutes of the movie, getting talked to by Nielson. Fancy that.
