In contrast to my physical feats I went out to a festival and got overwhelmed by noise, crowds, movement and everything.
Brain couldn't take it and my vision went wonky and I became physically tired very quickly. Should've taken my stick...
Bit disappointed but also informative.
TL;DR it's good to learn your limits.

I'm seeing running posts. I'm not going to doxx myself with maps, but I was happy to get a few miles or this morning at 7am. Especially as it was a cool down from the 30 miler yesterday.
Problem is, the heat here sucks. 7am temp was around 29 °C with dewpoint of 25 °C and humidity hitting 79 %
Added current temperature outside of 41°c and feeling like the 50s. Because.
And yes, this me still in recovery. The body can. The brain and emotions.....

Rehabilitation finished. My walking speed is better. Stride length longer. Stuff like that. Coordination better. Physical endurance better. Eyesight improving.
Mental endurance? Emotional lability/Pseudobulbar stuff.... Still out there. Not as good as it could be or a was. Nothing is as it was. It never will be.

Four hours: travel to doctor, get letter, go to shop, get food, use train, go to another shop get food, use train, go home.
Exhausted. Hate this. Lots of little things add up. But I did it, which is positive I suppose. And COULD do it.
30 mile bike ride was a joy today. Getting my fitness back.
Eyesight is improving with exercises to eye muscles.
Core is strengthening.
Still find balance is off when walking sometimes and crowds are overstimulating.
A work in progress.

Let me get this straight: 37 miles cycling in one hit is a doozy. 5km run in 35°c heat is doable(at pre-stroke pace too!).
Walking to the hospital and dreading going there? That emotional baggage and mental work fills my head to the point that it exhausts me.
Bloody brain. Needs rewiring.
Lordy. If anything shows me the trouble I've got with muscles and balance #post-stroke and in #recovery, it's getting back on my #skateboard !!
Damn. I can cruise around. But flip tricks ? #nope.
I was never one for throwing it down like some guys and going hell for leather. But simple ollie? Casper flip? Damn. Least I'm out having a go.
That's called #activerecovery or something. 37 mile bike ride is easy. This shit right here?? Fine balance skills and vestibular input? Oooph.

I finally got a timely #stroke rehabilitation appointment scheduled. Only took 6 months post-discharge.
Whatever #recovery I have had so far has been self-induced. And whatever #symptoms I currently have should have been supported by the medical profession but weren't. Things are slowly changing though.

Cycling again is good.
